Being an integral part of the legal industry and having a passion for technology drew me closer to where I stand today. In my 19 years of experience in law firms, I witnessed what was lacking in the day-to-day work life of a legal practitioner. The main roadblock was lack of implementation of technology in the industry.
This is when I decided to enter the world of Legal Technology or LegalTech. For me, it was necessary for lawyers and legal practitioners to realize what they were missing out on. I followed my passion in Legal Technology development through creation of automation systems. These included eLitigation for one of the most reputed law firms in the UAE and Casengine – a bilingual legal practice management system for law firms and legal departments.
I truly believe that Legal Technology including Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and Data Science play a huge role in our future and we should be prepared for it today itself.
It is my advocacy to shift the mindset from traditional legal practice to advance legal service by streamlining processes that can be automated through IT and AI.
